Material Water

The Practical Precision of Water Jet Cutting
In industry it’s important to be efficient, and although it may sound strange water is important for many purposes. Not only is water power efficient but it’s also highly effective for the purpose of cutting a number of materials. Water jet cutting may seem simple, but it’s actually a very advanced technology that has great benefits in art and industry.
Cutting with water is a process that is exactly as it sounds. Regular tap water is pressurized to extremely high levels then shot through a small nozzle to create a stream that is tough enough to cut through some of the hardest and most durable surfaces. A water jet can be used to cut through sheets of aluminum and some types of glass and stone. Sometimes an abrasive material is added to the water to help cut tougher materials. Pure water is often used in factories to cut more delicate materials such as food, rubber and foam.
In addition to being widely available, water has other benefits for being used as a tool. Water jets are often used to cut glass and stone for building materials because they allow for more intricate cuts than typical machinery. This process is very useful for cutting tiles or stone countertops, for example. The water jet’s thin stream allows for smooth cuts that won’t leave edges looking ragged and unfinished. Another benefit is that there are very few materials that water cannot cut. Diamonds, which themselves are often used to cut materials, cannot be cut by water jets. Tempered glass, which is designed to shatter, is also not cut this way. There are also some other composite materials that could be ruined by the water cutting process, but generally water cutting is highly effective and reliable. This means that for both industrial and home uses, water jets create the same quality products.
Although water jet systems may have practical, at-home uses they are not generally available for home workshops. Most systems are large and expensive and they require high levels of power to operate. However, there are smaller models available for people interested in home construction or creating art pieces at home. The best option is probably to go to a job shop where you can help professionals design custom pieces that you want.
Water jet cutting may be a high-powered process, but it really is simple to understand. The force of water provides effective cutting with precise handling, and this makes it practical for industry as well as commercial uses.

Why is water such an effective material to use in an automobile radiator?
It is and it isn't. Water is inexpensive so that is a plus for using water in a radiator.
I imagine that water quickly absorbs the heat from the engine and is able to quickly dispel the heat out through the radiator quicker than other liquids.
Water isn't perfect though because it will cause the engine to rust inside. It will freeze in the winter and boil over in the summer. That is why you need antifreeze. It has rust inhibators, it raises the freezing tempature of the water, and raises the boiling point.
